Privacy Policy
Computer Innovations | CI Guys
Effective Date: November 3, 2026
Computer Innovations respects your privacy and is committed to handling personal information responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website, how we use it, and the choices available to you.
This policy applies to www.computerinnovations.net and its associated public website pages. Services accessed through third-party websites, including our customer support portal, may be subject to additional privacy policies.
1. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
When you contact us, request a consultation, or inquire about our services, we may collect:
- Your name and business name
- Your email address and telephone number
- Your organization’s approximate size
- The services you are interested in
- Your preferred consultation time
- Information you voluntarily include in your message
We use this information to respond to your inquiry, discuss our services, provide requested assistance, and manage related business communications.
Please do not submit passwords, patient information, financial account details, or other sensitive or confidential records through our public website forms.
Information Collected Automatically
When you visit our website, certain technical information may be collected through our hosting, security, and analytics services, including:
- IP address and approximate geographic location
- Browser type, operating system, and device information
- Pages visited and general website interactions
- Referral sources and website navigation
- Dates, times, and technical information related to website requests
This information helps us operate and protect the website, identify technical issues, and understand how visitors use our services.
2. Website Analytics
We use website analytics to understand visitor engagement, identify areas for improvement, and measure the effectiveness of our website.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand website traffic, page activity, referral sources, and certain visitor interactions.
We may measure actions such as consultation requests and clicks on telephone or email links. Our analytics implementation is designed not to transmit the contents of consultation forms to Google Analytics.
Google may process information in accordance with its own privacy practices.
Our custom lead events use fixed event labels rather than form values. We remove query strings and fragments from page addresses sent by our integration and reduce referring addresses to their website origin. Google Signals, advertising storage, advertising user data, and advertising personalization are disabled in this integration. Telephone and email link clicks measure intent, not completed calls or messages.
Learn more: How Google uses information from sites and apps.
Microsoft Clarity
We use Microsoft Clarity to help understand how visitors interact with our website through aggregated behavioral information, heatmaps, and session recordings.
These tools help us identify navigation problems, improve page layouts, and make our website easier to use.
Our Clarity configuration uses full content masking to reduce the exposure of personal and sensitive information. Session recordings are disabled on our contact page and for signed-in website administrators.
Clarity session recordings are reconstructions of website interactions, not camera or microphone recordings.
We also exclude signed-in staff, the privacy page, search/error pages, and URLs containing query strings or fragments from Clarity. Full-document masking is applied before its script loads and covers dynamic content; forms and editable fields are explicitly masked. Clarity can use first-party and third-party cookies and similar technologies when allowed. Advertising storage remains denied.
Microsoft processes information according to its privacy practices.

3. Cookies and Privacy Choices
Our website may use cookies, browser storage, and similar technologies to support website functionality, remember privacy preferences, and enable optional analytics.
Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity are subject to the privacy preferences available through our website.
Current settings: both services remain off until you explicitly allow them. We do not currently enable either service by default for U.S. visitors. Where our hosting network identifies a U.S. visit, privacy choices are available in the footer without an automatic prompt. Other locations, including the EEA, United Kingdom, Switzerland, and unknown locations, receive a compact notice. Location changes the presentation of choices, not permission to track.
We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) and Do Not Track browser signals by keeping optional analytics and recordings off and remembering an opt-out. An active signal takes priority over previously saved permission. Essential security and website operations continue.
You can manage your selections using the Privacy Choices control at the bottom of our website.
Your selected preferences are stored in your browser for approximately six months, unless you clear your browser data or change your choices.
You may also use your browser settings to restrict or delete cookies.
Privacy preferences are kept in local browser storage with their time and policy version for 180 days. Existing unexpired choices are preserved. When allowed, GA4 uses cookies such as _ga and _ga_…; this integration sets their expiry to 180 days without extending it on each visit. Clarity uses cookies including _clck and _clsk; see Microsoft’s cookie documentation. A temporary session-storage marker helps count successful inquiry submissions once and is valid for no more than ten minutes.
Declining optional analytics does not prevent you from browsing our website or submitting a business inquiry.
Where applicable law requires additional consent or privacy controls, we will handle data collection according to those requirements.
4. How We Use Information
We use information collected through our website to:
- Respond to questions and consultation requests
- Communicate about requested services
- Provide customer support and manage business relationships
- Maintain website functionality, performance, and security
- Analyze website traffic and visitor engagement
- Improve our website, services, and customer experience
- Detect and prevent unauthorized or potentially harmful activity
- Comply with applicable legal obligations
We do not currently use our website’s Google Analytics or Microsoft Clarity configuration for personalized advertising.
5. Information Sharing and Service Providers
We may share information with trusted service providers when reasonably necessary to operate our website, communicate with customers, provide requested services, or maintain security.
These providers may include website hosting and content-delivery services, email and communications platforms, customer-support systems, security services, and analytics providers.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect our rights, customers, systems, and operations.
Our website analytics are configured to measure inquiry activity without sending the contents of consultation messages to analytics providers.
Third-party services have their own privacy practices and may process information according to their applicable terms.
6. Information Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect information against unauthorized access, misuse, alteration, and disclosure.
These safeguards may include encrypted website connections, access controls, security monitoring, and website protection technologies.
However, no website, network, or electronic transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
Our public website is not intended for the transmission of protected health information or other highly sensitive records. Customers requiring secure information exchange should contact us to arrange an appropriate method.
7. Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including responding to inquiries, maintaining business records, protecting our systems, and meeting applicable legal obligations.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the services involved.
Analytics providers maintain information according to their respective retention settings and policies. Browser-storage expiry does not itself delete records already received by a provider. Website inquiry records, related email, security logs, and backups may have different retention periods. Contact us about a specific record or deletion request.
When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete, de-identify, or securely dispose of it, subject to applicable requirements.
8. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request:
- Access to personal information we maintain about you
- Correction of inaccurate information
- Deletion of certain personal information
- Information about how personal data is processed or disclosed
- Restrictions on, or objections to, certain processing activities
- Withdrawal of consent where processing relies on consent
We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests. Some requests may be limited by legal, security, or recordkeeping obligations.
You may change your website analytics preferences at any time using the Privacy Choices control.
Choose Reject all / Opt out to stop optional analytics and session recordings. Withdrawal stops future collection through these integrations and removes their accessible first-party cookies. It does not automatically delete information previously received by providers. Choices are browser-specific; you may need to set them again on other browsers/devices or after clearing browser storage.
To submit a privacy-related inquiry or request, contact Computer Innovations using the information below.
9. Third-Party Websites
Our website may contain links to external websites, customer portals, software platforms, and other third-party services.
We do not control the privacy practices of those websites. We encourage visitors to review their privacy policies before submitting personal information.
10. Children’s Privacy
Our website is intended for general business and computer service inquiries and is not directed toward children under 13.
We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13 through the website. If we discover that such information has been collected inappropriately, we will take reasonable steps to address it.
11. International Visitors
Our business operates in the United States. Information collected through the website may be processed or stored in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.
Where applicable, we will respect relevant privacy rights and requirements concerning international data processing.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We encourage visitors to review this policy periodically.
